HR Department's Mission
The primary task of the HR department is to clarify, implement, and develop a business-driven employer policy that supports the Police Authority's short-term and long-term goals. The responsibility includes the following areas: employer policy/agreement, leadership and employee relations, competence including the Police Authority's training activities, work environment, and culture. Furthermore, the department is responsible for value-creating collaboration with employee organizations and the authority's personnel responsibility board.
Employer Development (AGU)
Employer Development (AGU) is a competence area within the HR department. The competence area is responsible for the strategic development of employer policy that will contribute to achieving operational goals and ensuring that the authority is perceived as an attractive workplace where employees' skills are utilized in the best way. AGU will work to ensure that the HR department fulfills its national responsibility regarding the authority's employer policy, labor law, wage formation, and other employment conditions, as well as collaboration with employee organizations. Additionally, the section represents the authority in signing local collective agreements and in labor law processes in court. AGU plays an important consultative and supportive role towards the operational parts within the HR department that provide direct support to the rest of the police organization in these matters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The work as a labor law attorney is varied and challenging, with high demands for labor law expertise and broad experience in employer policy issues. The role requires the ability to take a holistic view and to independently drive issues related to labor law, as well as to assist the organization with advice, support, and training in labor law and state employer policy/agreement.
As a labor law attorney, a central part of your responsibilities will be to handle dispute negotiations and labor law processes in court. Other tasks include preparing internal consultations and referrals, participating in cross-agency development work and national governance related to labor law, drafting local collective agreements, and collaborating within the authority in other ways.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- Law degree
- Relevant work experience of several years in the field of labor law
- Current experience in driving labor law dispute negotiations and labor law processes in court
- Very good knowledge of and broad experience in employer policy issues, labor law, and collective agreements, preferably from state operations
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Experience of process-oriented working methods or other development work in state operations or in another large organization
- Experience in a similar role within a large and complex organization that the employer assesses as relevant
- Clerkship

The tasks require that you are confident in yourself and well-grounded in your HR role. You have the ability to create trusting relationships and a reflective approach with good listening skills, the ability to engage in constructive dialogue, collaborate, and make decisions. Furthermore, you are results-oriented and structured in your working methods. You also need to have the ability to initiate and drive change and development work and create understanding of why a change/development is necessary.
